McClellan Park Milbridge

Situated on 10 acres on the shores of the Narraguagus Bay. Enjoy spectacular views of open sea, offshore islands & rugged Maine shoreline. The park offers picnic areas, camp sites and trails. Approximately 4 miles from the junction of U.S. Rt. 1 and Wyman Road in Milbridge. Open Memorial Day through Columbus Day.

Milbridge Historical Society and Museum

This museum preserves the record of the shipbuilding era and other historic artifacts related to the town's proud heritage. Cherryfield Historical Society and Museum

Features collections of tools, household items (c.1840-1920), photographs and a large genealogical collection of local families. Open by appointment. 207-546-2076.

The Wild Salmon Resource Center

The Wild Salmon Resource Center is the home of the Downeast Salmon Federation, Pleasant River Hatchery and Downeast Rivers Land Trust. A great family/educational visit. Open to the public. 207-483-4336. 107 Main Street, Columbia Falls. www.mainesalmonrivers.org

Ruggles House

Veterans' Monument

Located directly in front of the Milbridge Historical Society and Museum, the veterans monument is proof of Milbridge's proud history of military service. Recently restored and updated, the monument displays the names of Milbridge residents who served their country. Starting with the Civil War and right through to the Persian Gulf War, the scores of names on the stones clearly show Milbridge has a high rate of military service among it's citizens.

Narraguagus River Dam

Spectacular scenery including a rustic railroad bridge, cable pool, and rapids. Watch bald eagles and great herron soar. Brilliant autumn colors, monument and gardens.

Boat Landings

Scenic offshore island vistas, boat landings and working lobster pounds. Follow South Addision Rd., Addison.

Blueberry Barrens

Cherryfield (Blueberry Capital of the World), Columbia Falls and Harrington 12,000 acres of wild blueberry land known as barrens. Blossoms in June and harvest (raking) in August. Please stay on public roads or get permission before venturing onto private lands.

The Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge (formerly Petit Manan National Wildlife Refuge)

Strung along the Maine coast like a strand of pearls, the islands of Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge protect precious habitat for nesting seabirds, wading birds, and bald eagles. The refuge's mainland units complement the offshore gems by supporting migratory songbirds, shorebirds, and waterfowl.  207-546-2124.

Petit Manan Light, Milbridge. 1817 rebuilt 1855. The lighthouse is not open to the public and is best seen by boat.

Birch Point Trail, Steuben. Hiking on 3-mile trail. From U.S. Rt.1 in Steuben, just north of town line with Milbridge, take Pigeon Hill Road to the end, directly to refuge. Open year round.

Shore Trail, Steuben. Hiking on 1-mile trail with beach trekking. Located one-half mile beyond Birch Point Trail. Open year round.

Bois Bubert Island, Milbridge. Small Island with lake in the middle. Views of Petit Manan Lighthouse.
